Whoopi Goldberg to be new host of The View?

Well, well, well. “As far as everyone at ABC is concerned, she has the job,” a network insider says. “They have been meeting with Kathy Griffin, Roseanne Barr, Ricki Lake and Gayle King”. Supposedly, Whoopi has won everyone over. It seems The View likes controversy. Whoopi (like Rosie O’Donnell) is a New Yorker, liberal and outspoken. She is smart and it will make for some more interesting tv. For, no matter what you think of Rosie and her outlandish views, she made The View very interesting. You could not wait to hear what she was going to say next.
