Hoping to honor rocker Elton John before his first-ever Vermont performance, Ben & Jerry’s has whipped up an ice cream flavor just for him called “Goodbye Yellow Brickle Road.” The limited-batch ice cream, made from “an outrageous symphony of decadent chocolate ice cream, peanut butter cookie dough, butter brickle and white chocolate chunks,” is a take-off on his 1970s album and song “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.” According to sources close to the ice cream maker, they’d considered several other flavors, but Sir Elton was opposed to Fudgepacker Swirl, Longtime Companion Crunch, and Aging Fruit Sorbet.

I love how celebrities keep saying they want to be left alone and need their privacy. And then walk around in a canary yellow suit and hope not to be noticed. Pleasssssse. His partner David Furnish was wearing pink pants and a friend (a woman) was wearing a print outfit guaranteed to give you a headache. You have got to admire them. They definitely do not conform to fashion.

When his chauffeur driven people car was stopped because of royal security around the Concert for Diana, the singer flew into one of the rages. “Get out of my ****ing way,” he screamed at a policeman. “Don’t you know who I am? I’ve been working all ****ing day and I need to get to my ****ing dressing room.”
The officer stuck to the rules and the 60 year old star, in tail suit with an extravagant lily motif on the sleeve, was forced to get out and trudge the 50 yards to the VIP backstage area. For security reasons, all vehicles were barred from within a 50 yard radius of the arena. Elton instructed his driver to drive around the policeman and he was threatened with arrest. Oh my goodness. He had to walk. What a horror.
