Carla Bruni Sarkozy still hot under the collar
April 3rd, 2008 by Glynette Cougarsmith
New French first lady Carla Bruni Sarkozy is fuming that a photographer is selling nude photos of her at an auction at Christie’s in New York next month while she and her husband are trying to establish credibility on the international stage. An aide to Mrs. Sarkozy said: “Carla is very angry… that a commercial organization has chosen to release this print at such an important time.” Just a thought – when it comes to nude photos, there’s really no such thing as good timing. Like murder, nude photos have no statute of limitations. Maybe you’re sober now, you’re a different person, you’re married to a head of state and you’ve given up having sex with rock stars – but with nude pictures or murder, it’s only a matter of time until it comes back to haunt you, and it’ll almost always be at the wrong time, because the more you have to lose, the more likely they’ll come out. So, Mrs. Sarkozy, rather than complain about the timing, all there is to do is rejoice –about the fact that those pictures stayed hidden away so long. Be glad the pictures were taken when you were 25, and that negatives don’t get wrinkled and dried up when you do.
