“Dexter” to become a video game

Showtime Networks and Marc Ecko Entertainment have announced that they’ll partner up to create an all-new videogame based on the popular show Dexter, which is about a police detective who is a serial killer of criminals.  Kids around the country expressed delight over the game; one 14 year old gamer from Cleveland, Ohio, said “I’ve always wanted to carry out a gruesome series of ritual murders, but because of my upbringing I had certain physiological inhibitions holding me back.  Hopefully this will loosen me up and allow me to realize my dream of committing multiple homicides.”  The boy’s mother expressed happiness as well, saying “This will give my son the chance to become desensitized in a situation in which the killings are rationalized because they’re against other killers – it’ll give him a huge advantage when he starts killing for real.”  She added that she hoped the videogame will have a feature teaching him to cover up the murders because “it would be a real waste if he got really ace at killing and then got locked up.”  Parents are hoping the game will be available later this year; with luck and practice, their children could be taking out entire classrooms full of kids as early as next spring.
